It just doesn’t feel like a Sunday, does it? The days of the week always get a bit muddled at this time of the year, but as it’s Sunday, its time for my round up of time out reads.
This past week has been one week I have really needed to find time to chill out and enjoy the small amounts of quite time I could grab before rushing off out shopping, visiting family and wrapping.
With 2016 a week away, I’ve been reading up on how I can live more intentionally, peacefully and stress free in the coming year. Being Minimalist had a great guest post from Melissa Camara Wilkins sharing three steps to more peaceful home.
Being present in my families lives is important to me and with all the distractions modern life, it can be difficult, so when I stumbled across this post from Break the Twitch sharing the places you need to put your smart phone down, I made a more conscious effort to put mine down.
I used to use essential oils all the time when I was had my beauty therapy business but over the past few years I haven’t really thought about them. I loved creating my on products and scents but life got in the way as usual. After reading It’s the Little Things recipe for citrus scrub, it has been added to my goals list.
I love this list from The Survival Mom, it is full of essential items you should own if you are struggling for space. There are quite a few things I need to get.
Finally it was the Winter Solstice during the past week and for some reason I have never celebrated it! Two blogs, Seeds and Stitches and Circle of Pine Trees, shared their celebrations and have made me want to mark the event next year.
I hope you enjoy the last week of 2015 and look forward to sharing our journey for a slower, simpler life in 2016.
