This week has been a week full of illness for me. I have felt that ill that I had to miss two days of university. This did give me time to chill out, something I think my body has been trying to tel me for a couple of weeks.
Even though I am trying to implement slow living, actually accomplishing it is proving harder than I thought. We have things every day that need to be done, especially with three children but I am working really hard on the areas I can control.
This week I have been enjoying finding time again to keep up to date with some of the blogs I enjoy and here are my favourite five.
Adding fragrance to my home is something I seem to enjoy doing more so in the Winter but it does worry me what else has been added to the candles and reed diffusers to create the scents. Bethany at Cloistered Away has a simple natural alternative that I am going to be making in the coming weeks.
I read this post from Fran at The Simplicity Journey just after I published my Conscious Living post and found so many areas we both have similar thoughts on. One area I am keen to keep an eye on is Fran’s gardening as I really wanted to start to grow some of our own food.
Amanda at The Ana Mum Diary wrote about how she has been exploring Nutrition and Mindfulness, areas I am very interested in. Although this is a sponsored post, it has some great information in it.
I am being very conscious of the amount of new clothing I am buying, in fact I haven’t brought myself anything new for myself yet this year and if I do need anything I will have a look in the charity shops before visiting a clothes shop. Emily at Minimal Millennial shares why she has stopped thrifting (but not really!)
Firstly I’d love to congratulate Zoe and Eco Thrifty Living for being named as PromotionalCodes.org.uk Inspirational Saver of the Year. This post was in response to the coverage she has received since many national newspapers have mentioned her blog, it did make me laugh.
